pupil premium

Pupil Premium funding is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who are eligible for free school meals (sometimes referred to as FSM). This is why it is important that you apply for free school meals (even if your child prefers to bring packed lunch!) as it brings much needed funding into the school budget.

Pupil Premium money is spent by the school to improve attainment for pupils, eg by funding Study Clubs, one to one or small group tuition in targetted areas such as maths and literacy, and activities that help pupils to engage with school life and learning.

future spending

The nature of Patcham House learners means that we tailor each child's learning arrangements to take account of their particular needs. We use Pupil Premium money to boost learning, and how we plan this spending is discussed by the school leadership team, and then reported to the federation governing body. We look at how successful strategies have been in the past, and decide if we will use them in the future
